We pride ourselves in being urban aficionados and adventurers and recognize the need for the connection to the rural -- eating and living locally with respect for nature and others.

Philosophy

The premise was (and continues to be) very straightforward: the highest quality, local seasonal fruit encased in a crust of your choice - the specialty being a combined butter and olive oil crust picked up from Menka's undergraduate study in Italy, while drawing on unique mix of Midwestern, home-style fare and an Indian culinary heritage.

Established in 2005 by husband and wife team Menka Sethi and Billy Riggs as a web archive for Menka's pie-making expertise, the content has expanded to all sorts of organic treats, homemade crafts, simple treasures -- sugar and spice and everything nice.
